A journey exploring Indonesia’s cultural and fashion tourism cit

My journey began at the Ibis Hotel in Jakarta. From there, I headed straight to the city of Bandung using the Daytrans transportation service. After about two hours on the road, I finally arrived in Bandung. I stayed at the Aston Pasteur Hotel, which is conveniently located in the heart of the city.

As I entered the hotel lobby, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly staff and receptionists. After settling in, I began exploring the city of Bandung — a destination famous for its culinary delights, natural attractions, rich history, and, of course, its reputation as Indonesia’s fashion capital.

I started my tour in the Cihampelas area, a well-known fashion district filled with local boutiques and factory outlets that are famous throughout Indonesia. The prices there are quite affordable for people from all walks of life.

After doing some shopping at several fashion outlets in Cihampelas, I continued my journey to one of Bandung’s most famous landmarks — the Al Jabbar Mosque, located near the border between Bandung and Sumedang. I was truly amazed by its stunning architectural design, although I noticed that some public facilities around the area still need improvement.

After feeling satisfied admiring the design of the Al Jabbar Mosque, I hurried back to my hotel using the Grab online transport service — earlier, I had used Gojek. On the way, I asked the driver about some interesting historical places in Bandung that aren’t well-known to most tourists.

The driver then told me about a lesser-known historical site and offered to take me there — to the Lembang area. There, we visited the famous Lembang Fault Stone (Batu Sesar Lembang). According to him, this rock holds deep meaning, as the Lembang Fault is believed to have the potential to split Bandung in two if a major earthquake ever occurs. I couldn’t help but laugh, unsure whether to believe it or not.

After that, he also took me to several outlet shopping spots around Lembang — popular tourist destinations that almost everyone who visits bandung seems to know.
